Fastnet Rock youngster Sure Enough was among the winners at Rotorua on Friday for Cambridge trainer Roger James.
Sure Enough was bought by Auckland owners Brendan and Jo Lindsay for A$300,000 at the Easter Yearling Sale in Sydney and is shaping as a 3-year-old filly with a bright staying future.
James has her nominated for the New Zealand Oaks (2400m) in March and she is building nicely as she steps up in distance. A solid third over 1600m at her previous run, the 1950m trip was the key to her first win from seven starts.
