Europe Unlikely For Top Mare

A European campaign for the Group One-winning mare Silent Achiever is now unlikely.

Trainer Roger James has voiced doubts about the venture after the six-year-old’s sixth placing in Saturday’s Gr.1 BMW Stakes at Rosehill behind Hartnell and To the World.

“I think she is absolutely as good as she was last year and is at the top of her game, but they were just too good for her,” he said.

“I’d say it’s most unlikely that we will press ahead, though I still have to discuss it with Kevin. It’s a huge undertaking and she’s going to be running into types like the first two on Saturday.”

Silent Achiever’s rider Kerrin McEvoy concurred with James. “It’s a different level again this year, I felt she ran up to her best,” he said.
