The Roger James trained Pappa Ragazzo (Patapan-Chatham Miss) has won on debut over 1000m at Ruakaka.
In the hands of Opie Bosson, Pappa Ragazzo, raced by Bryan and Dee Black, fought off the challenge of Grant’s Girl to win by a head in the Red Giant Challenge, the first leg of the 2yo Triple Crown series.
"He’s come through the race in great order" said James, "and he’ll progress to the next two legs now all going well"
